DISTOPIA:
THE LOST VIDEO-GAME

Genkai Chousen Distopia. That's the name of one of the rarest arcade prototypes to this date and, most likely, you never heard of it before. These pictures, taken from old Japanese media, reveal its existence, though it's not known if there's still a working PCB of it.

It's quite relevant it's a Toaplan game, probably the most loved company by 80's shooting fans. It didn't develope too many action games (or too many games, for that matter), so finding another one in 2006, even if it's just via four small screenshots, is much of a nice surprise. The copyright year speaks about a game being developed just before the company went bankrupt, so it could very well reach a near completion status and couldn't get a release date before the tragic end.
